Mc Dowell retired in 2004,sold off all but his basic tools and
downsized to an apartment. Six years later travelling and free
time lost its shine. After many requests from a friend Pete
visited the Mogo Workshop and so began a new adventure.
Keeler showed him how to make boxes with patience,
persistence and hand tools!
Don Lee instructed
him in his initial development as a turner and Len Newman
started looking over his shoulder providing tips and
methodologies as well as giving him challenges to improve
Since then he has become known for his quality workmanship
and creative designs.
Lately Pete has added carving to his skill set and
incorporates carved elements in his trurning.
